Brazil unemployment rate 7.9% (consensus 7.9%) in Jul-23

- Brazil's unemployment rate decreased to 7.9% in July 2023, as expected, reaching its lowest level since February 2015.
- The current unemployment rate is 0.47% below the one-year average and 2.51% below the long-run average.

Brazil PPI inflation -0.82% m-o-m (consensus -3%) in Jul-23

- Brazil's PPI inflation in July 2023 witnessed another decrease of -0.82% m-o-m, but it was the smallest fall in three months and much smaller than the 3% decline that the consensus expected.
- Despite this positive development, the current PPI inflation remains rate 1.44 pp below the long-run average, indicating significant disinflationary pressures.
